Water is the essence of life, makes two-thirds of our body and it is very important to consume a certain amount. When we take enough water in our body, it regulates blood pressure, body temperature, stimulates digestion and helps the joints and muscles.
How can you stay hydrated during the summer?
Drink plenty of water! The amount of water we need depends on many factors – the season, physical activity, our years. You will not go wrong if you drink at least eight glasses of water daily.
If you like lime, lemon, orange, cucumber or berries, add in fresh water several pieces organic fruit or vegetables and make a refreshing and healthy drink full of vitamins and minerals.
If you want to lose weight drink a glass of water before meals. Water makes you fill full so you will not eat more food than you need.
Try to stay only with water. Juices and teas will keep you hydrated, but they are full of artificial sweeteners, sugar, and caffeine. It would be good to replace them with freshly squeezed juices or detox water.
Rehydrate yourself with a food. 70-80% of your fluid intake should be from the water, while the remaining 20-30% should come from foods. Fruits and vegetables contain water – cucumber 97% water, 96%- celery, tomato 95%, 92% watermelon, spinach and strawberries 91%.
Eat the chia seeds. Chia seeds absorb water well. When you eat chia seeds before exercise or before going in the sun, it will gradually release the water in the process of digestion, and at the same time hydrates the entire body. Chia seeds have a lot of omega-3 fatty acids and other nutrients.
Drink coconut water. Coconut water is a low-calorie refreshing beverage that is obtained from young coconut fruits. The water is full of antioxidants, enzymes, vitamins B and C, minerals – magnesium and calcium, replacing lost fluid and electrolytes.
Take probiotics regularly. Take care of intestinal flora and stay hydrated. Good bacteria helps the body to absorb nutrients and electrolytes from the food and beverage and protect from microorganisms that can harm our intestinal flora and cause dehydration. Probiotics hydrate the skin and give it additional flexibility.

How can you enrich the plain water?
Peel and grate the fruit in liters of water. Let stand for 2-4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator. We recommend organic fruits, vegetables, and herbs
Here are a few of our favorite recipes:
Mint – cucumber detox water
Peel and chop the cucumber, add 8 fresh mint leaves and add fresh water. Stir and leave for at least 2-4 hours in the refrigerator.
Citrus and blueberries
Cut two organic oranges with a peel, add 1 cup blueberries in a jar and add water. Allow 2-4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
Pineapple and mint
Peel the ¼ pineapple and chop it well for better water taste. Add 10-12 mint leaves, water and leave in the fridge.
Watermelon and basil
Add 2 cups finely chopped peeled watermelon and 15 basil leaves and pour a liter of water. Keep refrigerated up to 4 hours .
